Description:

Heavy equipment operators are responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and excavators at the job site.

Major Responsibilities:

• Operating heavy equipment to perform work site tasks, such as digging, loading, and moving materials
• Ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
• Conducting daily inspections on equipment
• Coordinating and communication with other workers to ensure efficient task completion

Qualifications:

• Have 5 years' experience operating various types of heavy equipment
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Pass a drug screen and background check

Physical demands:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of problems
• Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls

• Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
• Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct at the job site and to meet job responsibilities
