Environmental Health & Safety Director

We are seeking a Regional Director of Environmental Health & Safety in Phoenix, AZ who will lead an overall EH&S program and promote an Incident Free Environment.

This director will work collaboratively with operations and other functions across the organization focusing on IFE & Prevention.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain trusted, respected relationships with the region and Project Leaders
  • Engage with Region Leadership team and project workforce to educate, train to encourage safe working practices
  • Utilize data and analytics regarding EHS trends and priorities that drive performance and support an Injury Free environment
  • Responsible for having the pulse of projects and the business
  • Visit projects regularly
  • Align with Project Leaders to ensure impactful and supportive visits
  • Provide ongoing training to support regions business plans and opportunities
  • Responsible for leading accident/injury/crisis management response
  • Manage relationships with Regional Leadership Team, Project Leadership Teams, Project EHS Team, Trade Partners, and Clients

Requirements:

  • Extensive working knowledge of OSHA requirements and regulatory safety standards
  • Demonstrated excellent technical knowledge of being an Environment Health & Safety leader
  • Exceptional Communication skills including presentation skills
  • Ability to Coach & Influence stakeholders
  • Talent Management & Development
  • MUST be Committed to developing team members into leaders
  • Create a motivating culture that inspires confidence and performance among the team
  • MUST have experience providing support to multiple project sites simultaneously
  • Bachelors degree in safety, environmental, or occupational health preferred
  • OR 10+ yrs of construction EHS experience
  • OR High school diploma plus CHST Certification, OSHA 500 certification, and 10+ yrs of continuous construction (leading EHS)
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus but not a must
